The NIS2 & compliance value Alexus is built to deliver today: continuous Article 21 readiness, Article 23 incident reporting and audit-grade evidence. The values above are illustrative; final numbers are confirmed in your demo against your real environment.
Alexus hands back 741 hrs / month, about 4.6 FTE, or 9.3% of your 50-engineer team's 8,000 hrs/mo, freed for product, automation and strategic work.
FTE = full-time equivalent: one FTE is one engineer's monthly capacity (160 productive hrs). So 4.6 FTE means the reclaimed hours add up to 4.6 engineers' worth of time.
These are the very same hours the Automation savings line prices in euros, shown here as people, there as money.
Estimates only, your numbers may differ
These figures are directional, built on flat assumptions: monthly repeat tickets are typically a mix of 50% service requests, 25% change requests, 20% issues and 5% incidents (incident work weighted 2× on auto-detect, auto-RCA and autonomous fix); ~3 min saved per eligible ticket on auto ticket creation, a 30% per-ticket speed-up from AI assist via KB, ~5 min of documentation time saved per eligible ticket on auto knowledge-base capture, ~10 min saved per incident on auto-detecting the outage, ~8 min saved per eligible ticket on auto root-cause analysis, and a conservative 20% autonomous-fix rate on eligible repeat tickets. Actual savings can vary, sometimes meaningfully, depending on your real ticket mix, deployment maturity, integrations, engineer rates, and conditions at the time you check this calculator. Alexus's coverage of your specific stack, current list pricing, and the ongoing tuning of automations all evolve over time, so the same inputs may produce different outputs at a later date. We'll plug your real data into the model during a demo to give you a precise, personalised range.
Tolerance: treat every headline figure on this page as accurate to roughly ±10% of the value shown; the modelled assumptions, market benchmarks and your own input precision all carry that much slack. The "% of revenue" chip is illustrative against a typical revenue band for the tier's customer profile, not an inference from any individual customer's actual financials.
No warranty: these numbers are provided for illustrative purposes only and do not form a contractual commitment, guarantee or warranty of any saving, return-on-investment or business outcome. They are not financial, legal or tax advice. A binding savings range is only ever produced after a paid scoping engagement against your own data. By using this calculator you acknowledge that any decision you take in reliance on the numbers shown is your own.
What goes into the number
Reclaimed engineer time comes from six independent streams. Crucially, each stream only acts on the ticket categories it can safely automate, so the calculator never assumes a stream touches a ticket it shouldn't.
Access, provisioning, how-to
Planned: need human review
Something broken, non-urgent
Urgent outage / degradation
Why it matters: change requests (25%) are planned work that needs human scoping and approval. Alexus doesn't auto-create, auto-assist, document, or autonomously close them. That leaves 75% of tickets (service requests + issues + incidents) eligible for most streams, and just 25% (issues + incidents, genuine break/fix work) eligible for root-cause analysis. Incidents (5%) are also the most intensive work; we weight them 2× on the streams that touch them (auto-detect, auto-RCA, autonomous fix), since an engineer spends roughly twice as long on an incident as on a routine ticket.
Cost basis: the sum of the active streams × your engineer rate gives monthly savings, anchored against the selected Alexus tier (Detect €35,000 / yr, Govern €75,000 / yr, or Operate €135,000 / yr), each unlocking a different set of streams.
1 · Auto ticket creation · Detect+
Alexus turns each incoming signal straight into a fully-populated, categorised, routed ticket. Eligible on service requests, issues and incidents, 75% of volume; change requests still need human scoping. ~3 min saved per eligible ticket.
2 · AI assist via KB · Detect+
Alexus surfaces the right runbook, proposes the fix, and pre-fills context from the knowledge graph. Same 75% eligibility: we model a 30% cut to handling time on each eligible ticket.
3 · Auto KB capture · Detect+
Every resolution is written back to the knowledge graph automatically. Applies to the 75% that aren't change requests, replacing the ~5 min of manual write-up engineers used to spend per eligible ticket.
4 · Auto-detect · Detect+
Alexus watches your stack and spots a component going down on its own, no waiting for an engineer to notice. Eligible only on incidents (5% of volume). We model ~10 min of detection time saved per incident, weighted 2× because incident work is the most intensive.
5 · Auto RCA · Govern+
Alexus pre-computes likely root causes and links prior fixes. Eligible on issues + incidents, 25% of volume, the genuine break/fix work. ~8 min saved per eligible ticket, with the incident slice weighted 2×.
6 · Autonomous fix · Operate only
Alexus closes the loop end-to-end. Eligible on the automatable 75%, then only on the recurring share of those (your repeat-ticket %), at a conservative 20% autonomous-resolution rate. The full ticket time returns to your team, incident fixes counting 2×.
Five NIS2-and-compliance streams turn your telemetry into avoided losses on outages, failed changes, audits and insurance: continuous Article 21 readiness, Article 23 reporting and audit-grade evidence. This is the value Alexus is built to deliver for regulated mid-market teams today. (The engineer-time automation streams above arrive with the AI Agent in Phase 2.)
7 · MTTR savings · Detect+
Planned *Roughly 20% of every outage minute is spent answering "what's affected?": ownership, dependencies, blast radius. The CMDB Substrate answers it in seconds, so we model a 50% cut to that slice across the 5% of tickets that are real incidents.
8 · Change-failure avoidance · Detect+
Planned *Failed changes carry a loaded rework cost that scales with how regulated the estate is: €2K (Detect · SMB) / €5K (Govern · mid-market) / €10K (Operate · regulated) per failed CR, kept deliberately conservative so the headline figure under-promises rather than over-promises. Alexus pulls your change-failure rate down to the high-elite 4% band; we credit the delta × your annual change volume (25% of tickets × 12) × the tier's failed-change cost.
9 · Audit prep reduction · Govern+
Planned *Audits eat ~150 hours each in evidence-hunting, control mapping, and interview prep. The NIS2 Module ships continuous evidence and Article 23 incident reporting, taking ~50% off that prep, costed at €100/hr blended GRC + IT + audit-firm rate.
10 · Insurance premium swing · Operate only
Planned *Cyber + D&O carriers price on demonstrable control maturity. Continuous evidence + faster incident response shifts your renewal band; we model a deliberately-conservative 2% swing on your current premium, the low end of what Marsh / Aon / Howden report for material control improvements (their published range is 2–5% on cyber and up to 10% on D&O combined). Default premiums of €25K (Detect) / €60K (Govern) / €100K (Operate) sit at typical EU mid-market (250–2,000 staff) values. Move the slider to your actual renewal premium; the swing scales with it.
11 · NIS2 / DORA risk posture · Operate only
Planned *The qualitative anchor: NIS2 fines reach €10M or 2% of global turnover and management can be held personally liable. Continuous readiness scoring + Article 23 reporting + auditor-ready evidence is the cheapest material defence, sized at "board-level risk avoidance," kept as an unpriced credit in the model.
Payback is the headline value multiple: for every €1 spent on an Alexus tier, how many euros of reclaimed engineer time come back each month.
It's the monthly automation savings, reclaimed engineer-hours priced at your engineer rate, divided by that tier's monthly subscription. Above 1× means Alexus more than pays for itself. Payback is unitless, so monthly and annual give the same multiple; your live figure sits in the calculator's benefits panel above.
e.g. €74,070 / mo saved ÷ €11,250 / mo subscription ≈ 6.6× on Operate's defaults
